Synopsis

A New Version Of The Four Gospels, With Notes Critical And Explanatory is a book written by John Lingard and published in 1836. The book presents a new version of the four Gospels of the New Testament, namely Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, with critical and explanatory notes. The notes aim to provide readers with a deeper understanding of the texts, their historical context, and their significance. Lingard, a Catholic priest and historian, also includes references to other biblical passages and works of scholars to support his interpretations. The book is a valuable resource for scholars, theologians, and anyone interested in the study of the Gospels. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
