<b>John Fitchen</b> was a professor of fine arts at Colgate University and a registered architect and author of <i>Gothic Cathedrals: A Study of Medieval Vault Erection </i>and <i>Building Construction Before Mechanization. </i> <b>Gregory D. Huber</b> is an architectural historian. He is the former editor and publisher of the <i>Dutch Barn Research Journal </i>and has contributed articles to<i> Material Culture, Timber Framing, and Joiners Quarterly.</i>
