Two smart 'Compact Sci-Fi' paperbacks.'New Worlds' Vol 49. No. 161 for April 1966. One leaf of adverts to the rear.The leading story in this issue of 'New Worlds' is J. G. Ballard's 'The Assassination Weapon'. Other contributions are 'Consuming Passion' by Michael Moorcock, and 'The Evil That Men Do (2)' by John Brunner.'The Rose' by Charles L. Harness, the most famous of Harness' stories. This volume also includes two other stories by Harness, 'The New Reality' and 'The Chessplayers'. Two pages of adverts to the rear. In the original publisher's paper wraps. Externally, smart, with some light discolouration and spots, mostly to the wraps of 'The Rose'. A little rubbing to the wraps of 'New Worlds'. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are age-toned and clean. Ink ticks to the contents of 'New Worlds'. Prior owner's ink signature to the head of the blurb leaf of 'The Rose'. Very Good.
