8vo. [4], vii-xx, [2], 3-680, [2] pp. Grey cloth with black and gold lettering blocked in black on the spine; blue topstain. Price of $3.00 on the front flap of the dust jacket. Jacket design by Robert Schwartz. Illustrated with double-sided plates of black and white photographs, full-page maps done in black and white, and a folding map in a pocket on the rear pastedown. A copyright page date of 1939 printed on the copyright page but based on the jacket price and book design we date this printing to be circa 1955. Offsetting on the rear pastedown; jacket with light edge wear on its spine and rear panels.
