2 Vols, half brown leather over green cloth. Title label on front board of each volume. Backstrip missing from 1921 volume but binding remains secure. Backstrip of 1922 volume has a layer of linen pasted over the signatures, and a label reading 395. Binding of that volume also secure. 1921 volume runs from October 15 to November 28. 1922 volume covers January 16 to March 7. Each volume contains a two-sided sheet, tipped in, outlining the geographical boundaries of the precinct, as well as abbreviations used. List of Premises Raided in rear of each volume. Prohibition-era blotters, providing a day-to-day record of a single precinct in Manhattan, during a month-plus period in both 1921 and 1922. Mix of the mundane and dramatic, as these documents tend to demonstrate.
