The first issue of this newspaper style magazine, featuring an article on the Ramones, as well as others on Patti Smith, Tom Verlaine of Television, The Talking Heads, etc. The New York Rocker was started by Alan Betrock in 1976, with Andy Schwartz taking over in 1977. The paper mixed irony with more traditional rock journalism, with a focus on New York based musicians. (Berniere and Primois, p. 218). GOOD condition. General browning to the paper. Minor soiling.
