This issue with discussion of voting rights as pertaining to Reconstruction and residents of the South, as well as African Americans; news on Colorado wanting to become a state; news from Idaho on attacks by Native Americans; the second chapter of a serialized novel by Solon Robinson, " Me-Won-I-Toc (Mewonitoc). Indian Life. Character, traditions and superstitions and Romance of the Frontier." GOOD condition. Horizontal and vertical fold creases present. Large area of dampstaining at the top. Minor soiling.
