Newnes Instrumentation and Measurement Pocket Book (Newnes Pocket Books)

This pocket book is a handy source of information on systems and instruments for the measurement of quantities commonly encountered in engineering such as, temperature, radiation, stress and strain, and chemical composition. It has now been updated to include microprocessor-based instruments.

Instrumentation and measurement is figuring even more widely in engineering courses than when this book was first published and so as well as being an excellent source of ready information for the plant engineer or technician, it also provides useful support for the student of engineering.

W. Bolton has worked in industry, as well as academia as a senior lecturer in a College of Technology, a member of the Nuffield Advanced Physics team, adviser on British Government Aid project to Brazil on technical education, UNESCO consultant in Argentina and Thailand, Head of Research and Development at the Business and Technician Education Council, now retired. He has written many engineering textbooks including: Mechatronics 4th ed., Engineering Science 5th ed., Higher Engineering Science 2nd ed., Mechanical Science 3rd ed., Instrumentation and Control Systems.
