27" x 20", pp. [4]; 8 columns per page; central folds in quarters with some wear and tiny tears, small mild dampstain on first leaf; removed from binding. Actions of the city council, municipal affairs, sheriff's and mortgagee's sales, advertisements, some with cuts, biographical sketches (first settlers of Newton), news of the recession and the lament of fewer ads in newspapers. Also an article on extinct New England inductries, and a bizzar account of a duel between two Frenchmen in balloons.
