I have to say its also the best even though I enjoyed them all. This book made me laugh. I didnt want to put it down. I was routing for the main characters. I would recommend reading this book if you like fantasy novels. Its brilliant.

A long way from Leytonstone.8 August 2018Format: PaperbackPeter Bracknell doesn't have the most exciting life. In fact, it's pretty boring. This, however, is beginning to seem like a Good Thing when the alternative is finding himself in the sort of world in which fantasy novels are set, with knights, heroes, a princess and even a wizard. Unfortunately, as Peter realises, it's a fantasy novel in which the author doesn't mind killing off major characters - and none is more major than Peter, as everyone wants him to save the world (except for those who want to kill him). Nothing is quite what is seems as this comic romp takes a turn for the darker - and then a turn for the darker still.

This is a self-aware fantasy that plays with that knowledge, but keeps up the narrative pace. I won't spoil it by telling you who's still alive at the end, but I certainly hope to meet them again in a sequel
