Next Gen Tech Reset

Is Addictive Tech Killing Discipleship?

In student ministry, we hear a lot about tech’s effect on the mental well-being of the next generation, but what about the spiritual impact of addictive technology? And what toll will it take on the Church over the decades to come?

What if Next Gen ministry leaders had a radically different approach to technology?

Three different voices answer that question in Next Gen Tech Reset. You’ll hear from a media-addict-turned-pastor, a (formerly) hi-tech youth pastor and camp director, and an advocate mom, fighting to protect kids online for over a decade. Each chapter brings highlights From the Word, From the Field, and From the Research. This book is more than just a why—it’s a how to. Gain practical and Biblical insight on:

• How to intentionally model spiritually healthy tech use as leaders.
• How to build teams of staff and volunteers who understand the importance of boundaries and integrity in the digital age.
• How to protect sacred ministry gatherings from the damaging effects of addictive tech for the safety and maximum spiritual growth of students.
• How and why to lead a community digital fast in your student ministry.
• How to stand strong in a culture of passivity around technology.

You’ll also get access to exclusive digital content to implement low-tech ideas and strategies through a Tool Kit of resources you can make your own.

A generation is at stake. Reigning in tech and teaching young people a better way will require all of us—ministry leaders, parents, and students—to prayerfully fight against the status quo. We can change the story.
