His novel Next of Kin follows a military misfit who wages psychological warfare against an alien race. Its plot takes inspiration from the army officer E. H. Jones' account of his escape from the Yozgad prisoner of war camp in Turkey during the First World War. In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally, very excellent with just slight bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Wrapper is attractive with marginal sunning and toning to the spine, a few light handling marks, and a touch of edgewear, including a few fractional chips chips to the rear flyleaf. A few fractional marks to the recto of the front free endpaper and verso of the rear free endpaper resulting from some small tape pieces previously used to secure the dust wrapper's Brodart sleeve. Internally, firmly bound with pages that are a trifle age toned, however generally bright and clean. Near Fine.
