Nigeria

This volume collects a grab bag of materials addressing various topics concerning the African country of Nigeria, mostly writings from Nigerian and American academics (as best as can be determined), but also including a report from the Office of the United States Trade Representative (albeit not labeled as such). Topics addressed include health knowledge, attitudes, and practices in Nigeria; lessons from Nigeria concerning citizenship education and lifelong learning, globalization and conflicting education values in northern Nigeria; kinship and childrearing among the Orring and the Igbo of southeastern Nigeria; the dangers of cultism in Nigerian tertiary institutions; and Nigerian relations with Russia, the United States, and the European Union.
