(The book was first published in February, 1978.) Fine- in a Good+ Dust Jacket. The Text Block is clean, white, tight, straight and square with no markings of any kind but with light tanning to the top and fore edges, The Binding is full gray boards, color uniform throughout, with black and white title, etc., to the spine, unmarked white endpapers, and all corners square with slight wear at the tips. The Dust Jacket is bright with colors consistent throughout but two small chips to the top edge, stains to the upper front panel and a white mark (paint?) to the lower front panel. See photos. xxii + 336 pages. 5 3/4" x 8 3/8". The author's first collection of short stories contains an Introduction by mystery author John D. MacDonald, a Foreword by the author himself, and twenty (20) short stories. In 1980, it won the Balrog Award for Best Collection, and in 1979 it was nominated as best collection for the Locus Award and the World Fantasy Award.
