Venkatachalam Viswanathan spent over three decades working in global logistics and supply chain operations before returning to a lifelong love: writing.
Based in Chennai, India, his fiction explores the quiet turbulence of middle-class life — in offices, homes, and hearts. His characters live with restraint, carry invisible burdens, and survive without spectacle — much like the people he encountered across a long career.
It was only after stepping back from corporate life — and confronting a major health crisis — that he began writing seriously. Through diet, exercise, and determination, he reversed his heart condition and reclaimed his voice as a storyteller.
Today, he shares his reflections and short stories on Substack and Medium, building a quiet but growing community of readers.
