About the Author

Michael J. Santangelo holds doctorates in psychology and traditional naturopathy, with an additional license in massage therapy. His professional interests also include energy medicine, Chinese herbalism, and the uses of sound and color in healing. He has a practice in alternative medicine and mind/body psychotherapy at Eastwind Healing Center in Iowa City, Iowa. A natural teacher, Dr. Santangelo has taught at all levels, from community education to graduate school. He has published in the areas of psychology and massage therapy. His long-term interest in esoteric topics has led him to the use of Tarot and numerology in personality analysis, supplementing his skills in psychotherapy. Dr. Santangelo's Typepad blog Stranger Every Day takes a sometimes light-hearted look at the esoteric and the application of its principles to our daily lives.
