Ninp? Taijutsu: Volume 5: THE INVISIBLE BLADE OF THE MIND

Beyond postures, beyond kata, lies an invisible territory: intention.
This fifth volume explores the mental dimension of combat — seme, the shifting of distance, psychological pressure, and the strategic flow that binds two opponents.

Training always begins with the body: structure, grounding, movement. But at an advanced level, the body no longer leads. The mind takes over, and intention itself becomes a weapon.

This book does not teach techniques — it reveals how intention can cut sharper than any blade.

Notice / Avertissement

This book presents the author’s most refined and personal understanding of Ninpō Taijutsu.

It is not a step‑by‑step kata manual or a collection of rehearsed sequences. Instead, it focuses on the development of perception, intention, and inner connection — subtle skills that shape both the practitioner and the combat.

Readers should already have a solid foundation in basic Taijutsu and be accustomed to training in a living, interactive way with partners, rather than simply repeating set forms or practicing in a stop‑and-start manner often found in some Bujinkan training or other dojos, where attack and connection pause between partners.

Without this grounding, the concepts may seem abstract or difficult to apply, and one will struggle to fully grasp or integrate the material presented here.

Expect experiential, reflective practice rather than prescriptive instructions. Patience, curiosity, and an open mind are essential to engage with these advanced ideas fully.

Test these principles in the dojo, create mental images, and remain receptive. Do not force understanding; let the information settle naturally, like a seed finding its place. With time and continued practice, the insights may gradually appear and take root within your own experience.

“The blade is sharpened in calm, not in chaos.”
