62x51 cm. Double-sided map printed on silk with original pouch. Map is near mint, with colors bright and fresh. The pouch, lettered C/D - Maps Only, is worn with a 3 cm. tear into the top edge and flap. This map was one of a large series printed for distribution to aircraft pilots and crews that might be shot down in the area shown on the map. Map C-41 shows islands off the west coast of the central Philippines. Map C-42, on the verso, shows Samar Island, the southern portion of Luzon, and the many islands in their vicinity.
