A Noble Sacrifice

This hardback edition was published by the Walter Scott Press. It is undated but there is a dedication to a previous owner on the first endpaper which is dated 1897. The volume is in a poor condition overall. The attractive lilac decorated covers are worn, stained and discoloured. The spine is particularly faded and the foot has a large tear. The second endpaper has faded and worn stamps of animals inserted by a previous owner. However, the volume is intact and the binding is firm. All edges are gilt with black and white illustrations by T. Eyre Macklin throughout. Copyright © Walter Scott Press.
