Vol. I and II. Covers are stiff cardboard covered with marbelled paper, with remnants of very old tape visible. Covers are loose; repaired with paper tape. Much shelf wear. Tops and bottoms of spines are worn away. Spines have gilt decorations and raised ribs. Former owners' names/dates on the flyleaves, and some notations in pencil. Foxing, age-staining, few worm holes. Page count is for Vol. I. All pages are present and legible.
