Jet physics is an incredibly rich subject detailing the narrow cone of hadrons and other particles produced by the hadronization of a quark or gluon in a particle physics or heavy ion experiment. This book is a general overview of jet physics for scientists not directly involved in the field. Dr. Andrea Banfi is a Lecturer by the University of Sussex. He obtained his PhD in Physics in 2002 and has worked for many renowned institutions active in high-energy physics. His research is focused on the phenomenology of particle physics, in particular on the study of hadronic jets at hadron colliders. His main contribution is the development of a theoretical framework to perform precision predictions for observables involving jets in Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD).
