Nonni's Moon

It can be so difficult to move to a new home, or to say goodbye to friends and family.

Even though we have great communication methods nowadays, and can have video chats or phone calls daily, sometimes the little things help, too; like knowing that no matter where we are in the world, in this vast global society, we all see the same moon.
 
Beanie lives far away from her grandmother, Nonni. But they realize that even though the moon is coming up for Nonni when Beanie is just waking up, they still get to see each other's moon. And seeing the moon every night, whether it's full, just a quarter, or even hidden behind clouds, gives them one strong connection that ties their hearts together.
 
Nonni's Moon has become a bedtime favorite for military families dealing with deployments, separated or divorced parents, grandparents living far away, and anyone wanting to stay connected to loved ones wherever they are.

Julia is a mother of three (for a while three-under-three) who provide her with daily inspirations and just a few frustrations. She's traveled the world and has lived in five different countries with Egypt as one of her favorites. Julia is eternally grateful to her supportive husband and the cats who share her desk space. She has authored ten children's books and can't see stopping anytime soon and admits that she often writes and edits while sitting in a minivan.

Award-winning illustrator and book-designer, Lucy lives in Cheshire, England, with her husband Alan and two sons. She is a former school teacher and psychology graduate. And through that, Lucy has a in-depth knowledge of language development and the role high-quality literature and illustrations play in encouraging a life-long love of reading. She feels her past career definitely paved the way for her success as a children's book illustrator.
