12pp extract, printed in double columns, illustrated with 12 characteristic Harper's engravings, salvaged from a damaged issue of Harper's New Monthly Magazine, Volume LVI, No. 335, April, 1878. Illustrations include the procession into the chapel, the main entrance, a view of the college, a ground plan, a scene in the dressing room, scenes in drawing class and geometry class, the interior of the chapel, calisthenic exercises, a collage of Normal College types, the lunch counter, the kindergarten training class, and a portrait of William Wood, President of the Board of Education for New York City. Housed in protective mylar report cover with spine sleeve.
