His journey into the world of drugs began in 1994 and ended in 2017, some twenty-three years later. His life is the tale of a true prodigal son searching for home-and for himself. At the age of forty-seven, and finding himself caged up in a Georgia Department of Corrections facility, he finally found the peace to write his first book, Normal People's Problems; he is single and lives alone.
