Hardcover book in landscape format celebrating the opening of new gasworks at Howdon in Newcastle in 1952. 52 pages. Many B&W photographs of the different parts of the new works along with technical information, diagrams of the plant etc. Original maroon boards with gilt lettering. Saddle stitched binding. Textblock starting to come away from the saddle stitch, however still completely attached just a bit delicate. Otherwise just light shelfwear. Scarce.
