About this Item
First Edition, First Printing after the Limited Edition. The book is bound in green cloth with the title and author in gilt on the spine. Top edges tinted green have now faded. Rough-cut fore-edge. Top cover edges are sun-toned. The front hinge is loosening at the full title pages, but the binding is sound. Endpapers depicting "The Route followed by Robert Rogers & His Rangers on the Expedition against St.Francis September-October 1759". Corners and spine caps softly worn. Signed simply- with all the good wishes of Kenneth Roberts " on the full title page. Otherwise, pages are clean, smooth and unmarked. The dust jacket is in fair condition with three closed tears on the top edge of the front panel: a 4" tear near the spine panel, 1.25 " tear, and a 2" tear at the fore-edge along with other smaller tears, chips and missing paper on all edges.
