The ill and afflicted sought relief and solace -- albeit cures -- through the glowing promises of yesterday's peddlers of patented, potent and powerful potions and paraphernalia so well visualized in these advertisements of the 1800s and early 1900s. Softcover, staple binding, vintage illustrations throughout. Moderate wear with small scuff mark on front cover, brief gift note dated 1972 on front inside cover, clean text, tight binding.
