Synopsis
After moving to a new house, Poky the beagle befriends Charlie the hamster, who was accidentally left behind by the previous owners.
About the Authors
Carol Wallace, a former second-grade teacher, has written several children's books. One Nosy Pup, also illustrated by Steve Bjorkman, won the New Jersey Garden State Reading Award. She lives with her husband, Bill Wallace, in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Steve Bjorkman is a cartoonist who has created countless greeting cards and advertisements for magazines. He has illustrated more than seventy books for children, including "Skinny and Fats, Best Friends: A Holiday House Reader" by Cari Meister, and "Aliens for Breakfast" (Random House Books for Young Readers) by Stephanie Spinner and Jonathan Etra, which won the Texas Blue Bonnet Award. He lives with his wife, three children, dog, cat, and desert tortoise in California.
