Personal Papers: Note, 2 checks & 3 receipts concerning land purchase and interest payments in Mora County, NM. John De Witt Veeder & his brother, Elmer (attorneys-Las Vegas, NM) bought land from Charles W.G. Ward & receipts&checks are for interest payments made 1914-1916. Charles W.G. Ward (Las Vegas, NM) was District Attorney for 4th Judicial District of New Mexico (San Miguel, Mora & Guadalupe Counties) during transaction (1915). Note is to Elmer from John regarding tax payments. Included: hand-written (pencil) brief (#632) concerning the Mora Grant lawsuit, 1912 (Stephan B. Elkins et al. v. Carmen Arce et al). checks/receipts signed by John De Witt Veeder, Elmer E. Veeder, & Charles W.G. Ward.
