Printed for private circulation in 1936, compiled by F A Carthcart, believed to be Frederick Adrian Cathcart (1873-1943), this scarce history deals with a southern branch of the Carthcart family, residing around the village of Carsphairn, in the area of the historical County of Kirkcudbrightshire, west of Dumfries, in southern Scotland.
