Cover shows minor wear and tear, rubbing, is plain wraps like a file folder bound with red ribbon and two holes. Pages are lightly tanned and clean. Includes notes "written by" the characters, photographs of the characters, type-written and annotated notes by Watson, evidence samples in envelopes like the poisoned thorn and the bloody rope, newspaper clippings, telegraphs, etc.
