Notes on Ore Sampling in Mines

Mining historian Kerby Jackson introduces us to a classic mining work in this important re-issue of “Notes on Ore Sampling”. Unavailable since 1903, this publication offers rare insights into how ore was sampled in metallic mineral mines at the turn of the 19th Century. Included in this small booklet are facts about how to take, separate and handle an ore sample, as well as details on some of the equipment that was used for sampling in the old days. Note: This edition is a perfect facsimile of the original edition and is not set in a modern typeface. As such, some type characters and images might suffer from slight imperfections or minor shadows in the page background.
