Notes and Reflections on the Epistle to the Romans

Notes And Reflections On The Epistle To The Romans by Arthur Pridham. This volume offers a devotional and doctrinal study of the Epistle to the Romans, presenting a broad exposition of its teachings rather than a close verse-by-verse commentary. Pridham organizes the content into doctrinal, dispensational, and practical sections, tracing the Gospel’s center as the righteousness of God by faith in Christ, the universal reach of the gospel to Jew and Gentile, and the role of Israel in God’s purposes. He treats the Law as a pointer to sin and grace as the means of justification, and he emphasizes faith’s central place in receiving righteousness. The later sections survey the consequences for believers, including sanctification, the Spirit’s indwelling, and the hope of glory. The book closes with Pauline reflections on Christian fellowship, church order, and the coming of the Lord, urging readers to hold fast to the truth of God and to live in light of His mercy. It remains a sustained appeal to faith, hope, and love anchored in God’s saving grace.
