In: Scientific American Supplement, 20 April 1878, issue 120, pp 1903-1904. in the issue of pp 1901-1916, 15.5x11". Only two pages, but this early paper on the telephone (Bell, 1876) runs about 5000 words. Nice copy, in the original blue wrappers with some short tears here and there. This article originally appeared in the Royal Society of Edinburgh in April, 1878. It is a piece of telephone incunabula, I'd say, coming in the period of the telephone in its technical newness, appearing only two-odd years prior to this paper.
