Using Spain of the booming 1980s as his example, Lederer describes a world, and a pace of life, fast disappearing. Globalization, interconnectivity, modernization and financial pressures are bringing to an end that slower rhythm to which men and women have moved… forever. In Nothing Lasts Forever Anymore, a small family is faced with new choices as expanding communities encircle the little seaside farm on which they have lived for generations. Whatever they decide to do, even having those choices means that things will never be the same. Illustrations: Genia Chef (pen and sepia ink with Spanish olive juice)
