A handsomely bound, very scarce set of French periodicals from 'La Nouvelle Revue' printed in 1927. Comprised of six volumes published during 1927.This set of selected works is comprised of periodicals from the French bimonthly review of print media, 'La Nouvelle Revue'. This periodical espoused Republican values, and was intended to oppose the other Republication periodical 'Revue Des Deux Mondes', which considered too conservative.This periodical was founded in October of 1879 by French socialite, writer, and republican, Juliette Adam.This set is comprised of the following volumes:Volume LXXXVII, Janvier-Fevrier 1927Volume LXXXVIII, Mars-Avril 1927Volume LXXXIX, Mars-Juin 1927Volume XC, Juillet-Aout 1927Volume XCI, Septembre-Octobre 1927Volume XCII, Novembre-Decembre 1927Previously housed in the Banque de France Bibliotheque, with library stamps to the title pages. All volumes are also uniformly bound in the Banque de France quarter morocco binding, making it a very attractive and unique set. Handsomely bound in half calf with marble covered boards. Externally, lovely, with minor shelf wear. A couple small tears to the binding on Volume XCI. Banque de France Bibliotheque library stamp to the title page of each volume. Internally, all volumes firmly bound. Pages are slightly age-toned, as is common for this type of paper, but otherwise are clean. Near Fine. Seller Inventory # 792J37
