Neuware - Im Gegensatz zu vielen seiner radikalen Neue-Musik-Kollegen hatte Bruno Maderna (1920-1973) eine gro�e Zuneigung zu �lterer Musik, besonders die der italienischen Renaissance und des fr�hen Barock. Seine Transkriptionen hatten allerdings wenig mit der herrschenden Lehre der sogenannten 'historisch-informierten' Auff�hrungspraxis zu tun. In der �berzeugung, dass Kunstwerke auch aus ihren urspr�nglichen Kontexten herausgel�st werden k�nnen, nutzte er moderne Instrumentalressourcen, um neue Bedeutungen und neue Relevanz in den Werken der alten Meister zu entdecken. Seine Transkriptionen von Gabrieli, Frescobaldi, Legrenzi und Viadana werden vom RSI Orchester unter Dennis Russell Davies sehr lebendig dargeboten - in einem Programm, das au�erdem auch die Komposition 'Chemins V' von Madernas gutem Freund Luciano Berio (1925-2003) umfasst. 'Chemins V' ist selbst eine Art Transkription, eine Fassung von Berios 'Sequenza XI' f�r Kammerorchester. Solist Pablo Marquez l�sst Flamenco und das klassische Erbe der Gitarre durchscheinen, w�hrend das Orchester sich mit der Gitarre auf der Ebene erweiterter Harmonien einl�sst.
