BOGGIO, assistente di Giuseppe PEANO e lavorò con Cesare Burali-Forti con cui elaborò una formulazione invariante della meccanica classica valida anche per sistemi di riferimento non inerziali. Si occupò di teoria del potenziale, di funzioni armoniche e di equilibrio di membrane e piastre elastiche: per quest'ultima ricerca ottenne, nel 1907, il premio Vaillant dell'Accademia delle Scienze di Parigi su proposta di Henri Poincaré (wiki).
