About the Author

Jennifer Mensik, PhD, RN, NEA-BC, FACHE, is the Administrator for Nursing and Patient Care at St. Luke's Health System in Boise, Idaho, and serves on the American Nurses Association Board of Directors. Mensik is a former Executive Director of Quality and Patient Safety for the UCLA Health System and has worked at Banner Health in various roles, including System Director of Clinical Practice and Research. She has also served as President of the Arizona Nurses Association.
