Includes the stories: Tom Thumb, The Elves and the Shoemaker, The Three Billy Goats Gruff, Rapunzel, and The Golden Goose. Previous owner name delicately written on inside of front cover; dated 'Xmas 1945'. The interior pages have NO writing, tears or creases. All pages firmly attached - NO loose or lost pages. Light soil spots and browning to page edges. Binding firm. This is NOT an ex-lib NOR is it a remainder. Illustrated cardboard covers are colorful and basically unmarred except for small surface scrape at top left of front cover. Light edge wear but not significant. DJ with same illustration as front board is bright and colorful. The DJ has a 3" closed tear that has been repaired with archival tape. Some small missing chips and creasing along edges and folds but 95% complete. DJ has carried the brunt of wear and protection over this book's is 80+ year old life. DJ is price clipped in bottom front flap but back flap is very historically significant since it has "Buy U.S. War Savings Stamps and Bonds" written on it. DJis in a mylar jacket.
