Nursing: The transition to professional practice has been developed as a one-stop-shop for the principles of professional practice and the skills of the qualified nurse. Taking a logical approach, the authors introduce the role of the qualified nurse before explaining what it means to be in charge, how deliver good care, how to make legal and ethical decisions, and the best ways to work with and teach other staff. Theory is applied to clinical work so readers can easily see the rationale behind daily decisions. Useful for the entire final year, the content is mapped against the transitional module and extremely useful for final year placements as well as providing tips on getting a job and continuing professional development.
Written in an easy to read, student friendly manner the authors have brought together trustworthy and reliable advice in a way that is easy to dip into any time you need it- from writing an assignment, devising a nursing plan, documenting your placement learning outcomes, or finding advice on job applications.
