White stitched wrs., 5 vol. set, covers dusty & stained as usual, contents clean, manuscript, some some old worming here & there, 19.5 x 27 cm., 36+46+37+34+30 double folded leaves, solid. . *** **** *** . . ESSAY ON A JAPANESE CASTLE & THE CITY BELOW IT . . * This period manuscript text covers essays about a Japanese castle and the thriving city below. . *** CONDITION: The set is firmly stitch bound in the original covers. The covers are dusty with some of the usual surface soiling, typical for white covers. There is a feint stain on all front & back covers, very mildly penetrating the top 4 cm. of margin on volumes 3-5. There is some of the usual, but mostly minor old worming in the margins, by and large the text is unaffected. . The set is sold "as is" and is not returnable.
