Vernon Mays is editor of Inform, the architecture and design magazine of the Virginia Society AlA. He was formerly a senior editor of Progressive Architecture before returning to his native Virginia in 1989. Mays also served as architecture critic for the Hartford Courant, and today, he is a contributing editor to national magazines, including Architecture and Landscape Architecture, and has written about design for Preservation, World Architecture, Residential Architect, and WIRED. Educated as both a journalist and an architect, he lives with his wife and two children in Richmond, Virginia.
