Fifth printing (first published January 1935). 1-48, [16], 49-112, [16], 113-160 pages. Hardcover: H 18.25cm x L 11.5cm. Lacks dust jacket. Burgundy cloth rubbed, scuffing at edges with fraying at spine ends and at boards' bumped corners; black stain below spine head; gilt stamping to spine and front board dulled but legible; mild bowing to rear board causing three vertical furrows to surface cloth. Toning to text block edges. Ink ownership inscription on front pastedown; minor edge-wear to some early leaves; interior pages are otherwise clean. Binding is still firm. Book order card laid-in between pages 96-97. A very good- copy with the usual wear for early copies of the classic American bartending reference manual. With pictorial endpapers, Foreword, Index, unpaged section of color plate advertisements for Old Mr. Boston liquor brands, and second unpaged color plate section of drink illustrations.
