140 pages. Hardcover: H 27.75cm x L 24.75cm. Off-white dust jacket rubbed with some soiling; nicks and light wear at edges; dj's clear surface laminate has shallow peeling at edges and along spine panel's left edge (i.e. joint with rear panel) with slender swath of soiling occurring along latter. Maroon cloth with vibrant gilt stamping to spine. Toning to text block edges with interior leaves varyingly affected at margins; soiling at upper fore-edge fractionally affecting a few leaves at their margins. Past owner's personal bookplate on front pastedown. Binding is firm. A very good copy in a very good- dust jacket. With Foreword, Introduction, 62 tipped-in color plates, and Index. Translated to English from the original German by Daphne Woodward. Reviews weavings within four primary sections titled as: "Anatolian Carpets," "Caucasian Carpets," "Persian Carpets," and "Turkmenian Carpets."
