Original framed etching by American artist George Essaig. Very good condition. Scattered light foxing to mat. Etching measures 8.5 x 11.75in. Frame is 18 x 21in. New Jersey etcher, painter and illustrator George E. Essaig studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts under Edward Moran and James Hamilton. His watercolor paintings focused mostly on marine compositions and landscapes, but in the 1880s and 90s created numerous etchings, based on his own work and also that of contemporaries. 1417550.
