About this Item

Each booklet has 16 pages all have a double page colour plate and 4 or more colour illustrations and then some line drawings. They are all in original soft card covers illustrated by Hulme Beaman. All clean, no scribbling, no thumb marks and light dustiness to some edges. There is a little wear at spines, but nothing loose or delicate. There is a loss at the very edge near spine on one title. Wally the Kangaroo. The other titles are; Teddy's New Job + Jimmy the Baby Elephant + Grunty the Pig + Jenny the Giraffe + Ham and Egg. The illustrations all originally conceived by this one time "puppet & wooden toy maker". Later Noddy went to Toytown based on this artists designs and figures, also Larry The Lamb and other TV series. He died in 1922 in his 40's. These date to c1925. They were published together in 1927 so would pre-date this. (see my other listings under this author).

We are a small, single-owner business. We have been operating on and off since 1977 and our stock is varied, leaning towards antiquarian and 19th century with the addition of original aquatint and lithographic, or woodcut engravings. Also maps and Ephemera - in fact, anything interesting on paper really. We have in stock every item we list. We do not use stock photographs, but photograph each item individually. We very rarely use "fine" or "mint" as a description, mainly due to the age and the fact that 99.9% of what we sell has been pre-owned and therefor Fine would not be a term for a book we sell despite its fine-like appearance. We always take items back unreservedly if not in the condition as described. We always try to describe fully.
