Frank Leslie (born Henry Carter in 1821) was an engraver, illustrator and publisher of periodicals. With his second wife, Miriam, he travelled by train from New York to San Francisco, sending reports on the trip to the readers of Frank Leslie's Illustrated Newspaper.
