"OUYA Game Development by Example" uses a series of feature-based, step-by-step tutorials that teaches beginners how to integrate essential elements into a game engine and then combine them to form a polished gaming experience.
This book will teach game development from the ground up, covering topics like gameplay programming and data management at an efficient pace with no prior knowledge required.
"OUYA Game Development by Example" quickly establishes basic game development principles and then shifts into OUYA-specific development using the Unity3D engine. Scripting begins with basic movement, cameras, and lighting, and advances into touch-based input, data storage, and in-app purchases. Wrapping up, the book will cover techniques to polish and perfect a title for publishing it in the OUYA marketplace. You will learn what you need to add to your games to prepare them for the OUYA marketplace, as well as tips for independent developers on how to market what you create.
