OVERNIGHT: A Financial Thriller

One night. One trade. One phone call that changes everything.

It starts as a favor.

Cole Ritter isn't supposed to be here. A colleague calls in sick, the Asia session is supposed to be quiet, and Cole is supposed to be home. Instead he's at a desk that isn't his, running a book he didn't build, watching a yen chart that's moving wrong.

By midnight, he's the largest overnight position his firm has run in three years.

By 2 AM, he's broken protocol twice.

By 3 AM, his wife has told him she's leaving.

OVERNIGHT is a financial thriller compressed into a single sleepless night — one trader, one major market event, and twelve hours of decisions that can't be taken back. Set against a sudden Bank of Japan emergency rate hike that sends the yen into freefall, the novel tracks Cole's escalating risk-taking in real time: the limit conversations with his risk manager, the reads that pay off, the calls he doesn't make, and the moment when a position this large stops feeling like a trade and starts feeling like the only thing keeping him together.

The night costs him more than he expected.

The question is whether he knew that going in.
